Important medical information
Colon hydrotherapy is not right for everyone. Please review our full list of contraindications before your visit and consult your doctor if you have any concerns or underlying health conditions.
If you need physical assistance:
If you require any help getting on or off the machine, getting dressed or moving around the space, you must bring a companion who will remain on-site for the full duration of your visit. Please note that our therapists are unable to provide physical assistance for liability reasons and we may not be able to proceed with your session without a companion present:
If you have had a colonoscopy recently, we recommend waiting at least three months before your session unless you have written medical clearance from your doctor.
If you do not speak English:
For your safety and comfort, it is important that we are able to communicate clearly throughout your session. If you do not speak English, please bring a trusted translator to accompany you to your appointment.
How to Prepare
What to avoid in the 24 hours before your session
Nuts, beans, dairy, alcohol, coffee, carbonated beverages and heavy or processed foods. These can increase gas and make your session less comfortable and less effective. We recommend no solid food for at least 2 hours before your appointment.
What to eat instead
Light, easy-to-digest foods work best in the day leading up to your session. Think broths, soups, smoothies, fresh juices, steamed vegetables and simple whole foods. The lighter you eat, the better you will typically feel during your session.
STAY HYDRATED
Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours before your session. Good hydration makes a real difference in how your session goes.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear a loose-fitting, two-piece outfit like a top and separate bottoms. You will be covered from the waist down throughout your session. Please avoid dresses or rompers.
ARRIVE EARLY
Plan to arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to get checked in and settled. Your full appointment time is about 1 hour and 15 minutes, which includes your 45-minute session plus time to change and get comfortable before and after.
What to Expect
Not sure what actually happens when you walk in?
Here is a breakdown of your visit from start to finish.
-
Come in a few minutes early, check in at the front and get settled. First time? We are happy to answer any last-minute questions before you go back.
You’ll be offered alkaline water, along with electrolytes, upon arrival or when you enter your private lounge.
-
Your colon hydrotherapist will walk you through everything before your session begins and answer any questions you may have so you feel informed and at ease. Your therapist will step out and you will then get undressed from the waist down in the privacy of your own lounge.
Once ready, your therapist will guide you on the insertion of the tube. The tube is roughly the width of a #2 pencil and will be lubricated with coconut oil and gently inserted 1 - 1 ½ inches into your rectum.
If you have any trouble getting set up, your therapist is there to assist.
-
Our Angel of Water open system is gravity-fed and FDA-registered. Warm, filtered water is gently introduced into the colon, allowing waste and buildup to be released naturally. There are no chemicals or drugs involved. You'll have privacy throughout your session and your therapist will be there to guide and check in on you as needed.
-
A call button is available throughout your session so your therapist is always within reach. You'll have entertainment options available including Netflix or Spotify. To keep you comfortable throughout your session, we provide a massager, heating pad, eucalyptus cold compress and essential oils. During your session you may experience: mild cramping or pressure that comes and goes, the urge to release and varying amounts of output from session to session. All of this is completely normal and expected. Most people find the experience more comfortable than they anticipated.
AFTER YOUR VISIT
There is no downtime after your session and you are welcome to resume your normal activities right away. Every client responds a little differently. Some people feel an immediate boost in energy while others feel more relaxed or slightly tired. Both are completely normal.
It is also not uncommon to go without a bowel movement for up to a week following your appointment. Please do not be alarmed if that happens, it is a normal part of the process.
For the rest of the day, go easy on your digestive system. Favor light, easy-to-digest foods like broths, soups, smoothies and steamed vegetables. Your colon has just been cleansed and lighter foods give your body the best chance to settle and rebalance. Continue drinking plenty of water in the days following your visit to support your body and keep things moving.
Many clients feel lighter after just one session but a series of 2 to 3 sessions is often recommended for a more thorough cleanse. Your therapist will discuss your goals and can recommend a plan tailored to you.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations, changes, or no-shows with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged the full appointment price of $125.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened session, so please plan to arrive on time. Payment is due at the time of your visit.
